NUCAP Europe Facility Expansion

NUCAP Industries Inc. recently broke ground on an expansion to its facilities in Pamplona Spain to support increased demand for their brake backing plates, noise abatement shims and electronic wear sensors in Europe. The expansion project will allow for the increase of brake plate and the shim capacity by 50%.

CEO Vince Butera said, “The 16,000 square-foot expansion will allow for more efficient operation of existing production lines while providing the needed space for new plate lines, new shim lines and some additional office space to enhance our customer support and marketing efforts.”

The project schedule allows for the increased shim production in June and plate production by August of 2011.

NUCAP Industries Inc. originally acquired 50% stake in ADI Metalparts S.A of Pamplona Spain in 2006 before acquiring full ownership in late 2010.

The plant produces backing plates, shims and electric wear sensors for many of the major brake friction companies in Europe, such as ICER Brakes, Federal-Mogul, TMD, Eurofriction and Honeywell.
